WHO DOES THIS SUPPORT?
We hope to raise some funds and awareness to support all the amazing projects that the North Kingstown Arts Council create each year for our community. They're responsible for Summer concerts, children's events and art happenings all around our little town and we appreciate them! |

CREATE A MARCHING GROUPHave a crazy idea for you and your friends to be in the parade? Gather your book club, bowling league, or knitting circle and join the fun! EVERY GROUP MUST HAVE A BANNER so come up with a creative theme and name and then strut your stuff down the street. You could be the Wickford Whistlers and march in formation whistling Zippity Doo Dah,
or how about wearing fuzzy onesies and calling yourselves the Sweaty Yetis? Just about anything goes (no nudity or politics please). |
TRYOUT for DOO DAH QUEEN or DUKEOh this is gonna be good!
We're searching for our very first officlal DOO DAH QUEEN and DUKE! How do we decide? WE don't. YOU DO! We'll be hosting several TRYOUTS (think Gong Show meets America's Got Talent) at local watering holes+ everyone who attends gets to vote for the winners! Show us what you've got! Know how to juggle? Sing? Tap dance? Winner of each competition gets to ride in the front of the parade in a custom costume and wave to their loyal subjects! |
